Summertime
Fun Altered Frame
Materials
Required:
8
½ x 10” unfinished “canvas like” frame,
ink, PDQ Hot paper 4 Hot chipboard, pop dots, purple rick-rack,
assorted buttons, strong adhesive, teal DMC floss, 2 fabric flowers.
Method:
1.
Purchase a 8 ½ x 10” unfinished “canvas like”
frame (I found mine at Wal-Mart)
2.
Ink frame (I used Colorbok canary yellow for the frame and green
for the edges)
3.
Cut circle/heart design from “paper 4 side a” out of
the “Hot” paper line and adhere to frame (trim off the
part of circle that crosses the photo opening)
4. In the
top left corner secure blue chipboard wings to the left and right
side of heart as well as the scalloped circle and pink heart. Place
the boy and girl chipboard pieces to bottom right corner adding
a heart over their hands. Write title then secure the green ribbon
chipboard across the bottom of frame. I glued a piece of purple
rick rack to the ribbon before I secured it to the frame. NOTE:
(I used pop dots under the ribbon across the bottom and the pink
heart in the top left corner to add dimension)
5. Using
a strong glue I secured assorted buttons around the green circle.
6. Tie
teal DMC floss through a large pink button and glue to the top cluster
of embellishments as shown.
7.
Glue two fabric flowers to frame (one on green chipboard ribbon
and one on the pink chipboard heart)
8.
Add photo and voila, you are done!!
